‘Dunkirk’ is a fantastic war film from the great Christopher Nolan. Arguably a little slow at the times, the landscape and atmosphere created is both chilling and harrowing. I highly recommend taking that trip to the cinema!
I’m a huge sucker for films that mainly take place in one room. Ones like The Breakfast Club and The Hateful Eight, where a bunch of characters are basically forced […]
My review of ‘Lion’, a film based on a book and the true story of Saroo Brierley. Brought to life by the likes of Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman and Sunny Pawar this film definitely gives the original story some true justice.
I loved ‘Arrival’. Fantastic performances from the likes of Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker. The film brought up a lot of topical messages and ideas that made it so much better than the usual alien sci-fi flicks.

As Joel Edgerton’s first film where he adopts the roles of actor, director and writer, The Gift was sure to be a risky film for him. It’s certainly fair to say he excelled on all three counts . A fantastic first film for him that is sure to draw in the ratings and possibly some awards in the long run.
A surprisingly intriguing film, only made possible by the stellar acting performances that it includes. The father-son duo of Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall is what kept the film steady. Robert Downey Jr. has a fantastic performance as the brilliant yet self-centred lawyer Hank Palmer, it was such a good performance that I didn’t think that Tony Stark had shaved his beard and turned up in a suit.
Gran Torino is definitely a film, that I surprisingly enjoyed, you wouldn’t think it from the IMDb write up that doesn’t really do it much favours in my opinion. Yet the ratings […]
