Whilst ‘War For The Planet Of The Apes’ is still a whole lot better than your average action flick, I still felt a little disappointed with the final instalment of the trilogy. Here’s my review and how I would have done it better.
‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ was great, but arguably fell a little flat. Whilst I’d happily sit down and watch this new 2017 Marvel film again, I feel it felt short of other big superhero movies that we have already seen this year.
‘Wonder Woman’ was a pretty solid new DC superhero film. Gal Gadot and co. helped to create a great hero origin story set during wartime.
‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 Dead Men Tell No Tales / Salazar’s Revenge’ Review. Pretty much the same Jack Sparrow swashbuckling action as before, but this one is certainly better than its predecessor and plays a little more into the successful formula of The Curse Of The Black Pearl.
The team are back for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, and I couldn’t be happier! The first Guardians instalment was definitely one of my favourite Marvel films to date, so the sequel certainly had a lot to live up to. This film exceeded all my expectations and continues the GotG story in true style!
I really wanted to enjoy ‘Ghost In The Shell’, but despite the pretty special effects and the awesome landscapes, I couldn’t see past a pretty weak storyline. Often clunky, the film just felt like it was all too often preparing for its sequel.
‘Get Out’ was absolutely nothing like I expected. Yet beneath the weird and wonderful events going on onscreen, there is certainly some deeper social commentary at play. This satire comedy is definitely worth a watch!
Unfortunately, ‘Rings’ is the worst new 2017 film I’ve seen so far this year. ‘Rings’ tried its best to inject some new life into the well-known horror story but ultimately failed.
Doctor Strange is Marvel’s fourteenth film set in the MCU, so just how good was Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel’s latest instalment?
It may have recieved a wealth of bad reviews, but I truly fell in love with Swiss Army Man. A truly unique film that I could easily watch again and again!
